Breathtaking views from the roof terrace.
Unfortunately, our stay was marred by several disappointments. The roof bar was unexpectedly closed during our visit, limiting our evening enjoyment of the terrace despite its stunning views. Additionally, the lighting in our room was poor, and the bathroom setup was frustrating due to a bath attachment instead of a proper shower. Even basic amenities felt lacking, as the hotel seemed understaffed and not entirely prepared for guests.

historic, historic, historic
The hotel is a beautifully restored 15th-century noble palace, featuring stunningly high ceilings and spacious rooms. I was completely enamored by the magnificent dining experience during breakfast, served in an elegant room adorned with artwork that genuinely elevated the mood of our mornings. Each room offers amazing views over the ancient landscape, allowing us to wake up every day to a picturesque backdrop that felt like we were living in a painting.

Stunning views and charming atmosphere
I recently stayed for 2 nights and was enamored by the breathtaking views from the terrace, which provided a stunning panorama of Matera, especially at sunset. The elegant breakfast room, with its apricot-colored plastered walls, felt inviting and the breakfast itself was good. Although the setup of the bathroom could be improved, particularly with the shower, the spaciousness of my junior suite made me feel right at home.

The impressive building was impeccably maintained, making for a great visual experience. Staff were courteous and provided excellent local recommendations. However, the rooftop terrace was unavailable for our stay, which was disappointing given the prime views it could offer. Additionally, the breakfast area could benefit from more variety, and the bathroom layout would have been more functional with a proper shower setup.

The breathtaking views from the terrace were a highlight, providing a unique backdrop. The staff offered great local recommendations, enhancing the experience. However, breakfast options were quite limited, with little food left by 9:30 AM. Additionally, the rooftop terrace was not open for guests, which disappointed our plans to enjoy the scenery. There was also a noticeable understaffing issue, which affected service at times.
